States vs. Federal - Marijuana Revolt

Are States Leading Revolt on U.S. Marijuana Laws? by Maggie Clark

This November we may see a new president elected to office, but more importantly we may witness some major changes that could spark the beginning of the end of marijuana prohibition. That potential spark could begin in the states of Washington, Oregon and Colorado where voters will decide if they want to legalize and regulate recreational marijuana consumption and production. If these initiatives go the way we would like them to then these states would be in conflict with federal law and that is exactly what this country needs. The federal government continues to crack down on medical marijuana initiatives nationwide, forcing many medical marijuana dispensaries to close up shop. However, the only way to spark up some debate and to potentially swing this argument in the favor of marijuana activists is for the states to initiate conflict with the federal government. This can all happen if voters get out there in November and let their voice be heard. So spark up a joint, spark up some conflict and go vote!
